Staten Island Auto Repair

I normally only stop by here when the NY inspections are due and never really had any mechanical works done here prior. However, a few days ago, one of my tire was punctured so I brought it in for a repair since it was close by. Danny performed a quick diagnosis and informed me of the issue and told me my tires were literally cracking and breaking down due to tear and wear from aging. He patiently explained the services I needed for my car and finished the work promptly. Hopefully I won't have to see him again soon (fingers crossed that nothing else will happen to my car in the foreseeable future) but if there is any mechanical work that needs to be done, I will definitely return back here!

I'm the kind of guy that prefers to work on my own cars. My experiences over the years at other auto repair shops have only served to reinforce that preference. However I currently live in an apartment with nowhere to do my own work. I found Island Car Care on the internet, read their reviews and decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did. I dealt with Danny on the phone and at the counter. Total gentleman. No hard sell, scare tactics BS that you see far too frequently elsewhere. Car needed brakes and inspection. Pads and rotors were replaced front and rear and brake fluid was changed out. Also had them replace the serpentine belt. I have no idea who did the actual work but it was done right and quality parts were used. Prices were inline for an independent garage and less than one would pay at a dealership. They were honest, the prices were reasonable and the work was done correctly. That should be the standard everywhere, unfortunately it is not always so. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Mechanics were very meticulous. Dan fixed some things I didn't even ask him to fix, but was the root of my problems. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my friends.

Great, knowledgeable, friendly service at a reasonable price. My wife and I have been bringing our cars here for 15 years and we would never go anywhere else. From inspections, flat tires & oil changes to major repairs, Danny and his guys do it all, quickly and correctly. We even got a complete engine rebuild done, from start to finish. And you'll never find a nicer business owner anywhere. Danny is always up front and honest about what is involved in the current repair job and he usually recommends what your car may need next to keep it running perfectly, but with no ‘upsell’ or pressure to "do it now". He takes a genuine interest in his customers and the safety of their vehicles and it shows in the solid work that he and his guys do on every visit. Five Star, 'old school' customer service...

Island Care always gets the job done. Danny and his mechanics are great. I would recommend Island Care to everyone.
