IF I COULD PUT NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD. My recent visit to Island Car Care was nothing short of a nightmare, characterized by abysmal customer service, a complete lack of professionalism, and outright offensive behavior. From the moment I walked in, the staff exhibited a horrible attitude, displaying arrogance and disdain towards customers. Their communication was appalling, with minimal effort made to explain the issues with my car or provide updates on the progress of the repairs in a respectful manner. What truly shocked me was the unnecessary sarcasm and condescension from the technician. Instead of addressing my concerns respectfully, they resorted to belittling remarks and sarcasm, making me feel like I was being mocked. To make matters worse, Island Car Care went ahead and performed services that I explicitly did not ask for, adding unnecessary charges to my bill without my consent. Nonetheless had the audacity to undermine me when I expressed the concern. (It’s just 12 dollars more) is not how you respond to a customer especially when you don’t know what someone can and cannot afford. This blatant disregard for customer preferences is unacceptable and reflects their lack of integrity. The most disturbing part of my experience was the use of racial slurs(these people) and discussing his frustrations about us to the employees. It is utterly reprehensible that Island Auto Care tolerates such hateful language in their workplace, creating a hostile environment for customers as myself of diverse backgrounds. In summary, my experience at Island Car Care was an absolute disaster. Their abhorrent customer service, disrespectful attitude, lack of professionalism, poor communication, unwanted added services, and use of racial slurs are completely disgusting. I urge others to steer clear of this establishment and seek auto repair services elsewhere.
Hi Destiny, thank you for the review. I understand that you were not happy, however, I WILL NOT work for free for people that walk in with a demanding attitude. I understand that you feel like I should work for free and pass the car even though it had 5 items on the NYS safety list that were damaged... front end damage, tires that are slick, lights that are out, but I will not. I will not sacrifice good work and being honest for what you might be use to elsewhere. Please do not come back as we do not need customers that walk in with your negativity and also with the "everything should be free" mindset. I do not behave the way you did when I walk into any business. For those who have read until here, than you... so you know the "extra" she is talking about is $12.50 for finding out an issue her car had for why it was not communicating with the DMV computer. We found the issue and we fixed it without her consent. First she said she didnt have the money, then she didnt have a credit card, and then after a few minutes she magically had both. I will not be belittled by people who do not respect our profession and care to do things right.
